Athlete Quotes

The National Training Center in Clermont, Florida is the only place that I have seen which offers a comprehensive approach to injury management and performance enhancement. The team of physical therapists works closely with the physiologist at the human performance lab to treat an injury and analyze the biomechanics that caused the injury, so not only am I able to train without interruption, but also I found my efficiency has improved dramatically. Sheila Taormina 1996, 2000, and 2004 Olympian, 2004 World Triathlon Champion

My 2005 season training began with a trip to the National Training Center in Clermont, FL in December for a re-evaluation of my back and hip. Chuck Wolf oversaw my strength and conditioning and Jack Jackson performed my physical therapy Amie was out on maternity leave). I was given a clean bill of health, some excellent physical therapy on a lingering adductor pull sustained during the Rio World Cup in November, and a new strength program that still makes my quads burn. Despite colder than normal temperatures, I was able to do quite a bit of swimming, biking and running. It is amazing how the Floridians complain when the temperature drops below 40! Joanna Zeiger-2000 Olympic Triathlon Team Member, Ironman Athlete

The Place to Be!
As a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and Director/Medical Director of the National Training Center, it is without hesitation that I recommend the NTC as the place to train in fitness and sport.

MICHAEL ALEXANDROV "SOUNDS OFF": USA National Breast Stroke Record Holder

Michael Alexandrov knows the value of training in 'neutral spine'!

Lee Brandon, CSCS and Michael Alexandrov
"The AB-Inforcer initially did not make since to me," stated Michael Alexandrov, USA national record holder in the breast stroke.

"I was not aware that I was rotated and had muscular core imbalances that were affecting my lower back and postural position in the water.  It gave me awareness and information to transfer functionally into the water regarding awareness of 'turning my lights on' and bracing'.  Even though theoretically I did not get it in the beginning, it is invaluable information.

Now I can maintain my correct lumbar curvature and keep my core and entire posture engaged for my whole race."  You don't have to understand it or how the AB-Inforcer Core Biofeedback Trainer works.

Lee Brandon, CSCS, Olympic Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, states:  "Once you learn the techniques and awareness 2 dimensionally on the machine (AB-Inforcer) and practice it functionally in the water.  'Practice makes permanent" and then you program a new neuromuscular motor pattern grooving a whole new water dynamic position duplicating great neutral spine biomechanics in the pool!"

USA Olympic Trials for this summers London Olympic games, start June 24th, 2012.

Keep your eye out for this great talent on the USA team!!!"

CURE FOR CHRONIC PAIN? Actress, Tiiu Leek shares hope...

Tiiu Leek-Jacobson

This review is from: AB-Inforcer® (Health and Beauty)

The Ab-inforcer has really helped to strengthen my core muscles. The lighted remote device lets me know if I am doing the exercise correctly and optimizing my workout. Hence the expression: keep your lights on. If you're using the muscles correctly, the lights on the remote will turn on. If not, you make adjustments. As my abs have become stronger, my low back pain has been reduced. It's a lightweight, simple but effective helper to prevent further injury. I can recommend the Ab-inforcer without hesitation. I love it!

Exercise has helped to make me feel better in general. The targeted program I do with Lee, using the ab-inforcer, has really helped to cushion my spine from the inside and my abs stronger. I lift grocery bags, my small thirty pound dog, large water bottles, etc. using those muscles and preventing further injury.

When I am doing the exercises designed for me, I am not as aware of the pelvic nerve pain ...maybe the endorphins help me to get up and over that pain. Let me just say, I'm not a dedicated fan of exercise...but I do like how I feel after it... so I'll just continue."

There are so many who deal with Chronic pain and exercise in good form has been proven clinically to assist in pain management for a variety of reasons: Endorphins (300x's as potent as morphine are released), muscle is a powerful tool and the more we have the more it assists us structurally...There are so many more benefits, these are just a few!

Greg Robinson and Lee Brandon
Santa Monica, California:   Last week we had the honor of having 3 LEGENDS take over the gym.

"It is not often that the universe allows us to feel the 'PERFECT STORM' in its EYE!  Having Coach Robinson (who coached at University of Texas,  University of Syracuse, UCLA, NY Jets, Denver Broncos...), Ricky Berens (US Olympic Gold Medalist who swam with Phelps helping him win his final gold), and the great Marcus Rogan from Austria was such an honor."

Brandon continues, "In life, there are these perfect moments.  When they strike, you pray your present to appreciate them!  I was standing in the middle of this perfect powerful swirling moment of power.  I feel so blesssed to be training Olympians and professionals after 30 years in the fitness industry.  How amazing is it that Coach Robinson and I worked together with the NY JETS 21 over years ago.  To have him standing there seeing the Olympic Training we were doing was inspiring and breathtaking!  It was truly a PERFECT STORM of power and intensity, and I was in its eye!"

Coach Robinson  looked on and smiled, "If one could have taken the pulse at the gym, the vibration was off the chart!  Everyone stopped to watch Lee kick those boys into shape!  Truly amazing!  London 2012 is going to be amazing."

ARE YOU SELECTING THE RIGHT EXERCISES FOR YOUR JOB?

Santa Monica, California:
The photo was taken at the entrance to Katlian Bay at the end of the road in Sitka, Alaska.
The whale is coming up to scoop up a mouthful of herring (see the fish just below the surface). The kayaker is a local Sitka Dentist. He apparently didn't sustain any injuries from the terrifying experience. The whale was just around the corner from the ferry terminal.
"Looks like this man's lights were on..." says Lee Brandon, CSCS. "Core training comes in many shapes and sizes.  I often recommend trying Kayaking if you have a job that keeps you standing on your feet all day (like the dentist pictured here).  Cardiovascular training and core training go hand in hand with performance.  The AB-Inforcer(R) uses lights to let you know if you're training with the correct core muscles turned on in the right posture."

Lee reminds us, "Remember, practice makes permanent...not Perfect!   Choosing the ideal protocols that fit your lifestyle is critical in long term wellness and motivation."
